Elaine has a wealth of expertise from higher education and private sectors, having managed operations at Burberry plc before holding a number of leadership roles at University of Bradford, including Business Engagement Manager for the Faculty of Management, Law & Social Sciences and most recently Head of Operations for the Faculty of Engineering & Digital Technologies.
Law
Laura is the Programme and Student Lead for the LPC and SQE at our Leeds, Newcastle and Sheffield campuses. She graduated with an LLB and completed her LPC at The University of Sheffield. Laura trained and qualified at a firm in Manchester, practising in defendant motor insurance litigation and clinical negligence claims. After several years in Manchester, she moved back over the Pennines and worked as a Visiting Lecturer for 91桃色, before joining as a permanent lecturer in 2021. In addition to her role as PSL, Laura teaches dispute resolution and personal injury and clinical negligence on the LPC and SQE courses.
Heather is the Programme and Student Lead for the Conversion courses at our Leeds, Newcastle, Sheffield and Hull campuses. Heather qualified as a solicitor in 2012 and gained higher rights of audience (civil and criminal) in 2014. As head of the advocacy department at a national UK law firm, she was responsible for a team of around 30 advocates. As an advocate, Heather conducted county court hearings across a variety of civil cases. In addition to her role as PSL, she enjoys teaching tort law on the conversion course and civil litigation and evidence and civil skills on the BPC.
Following her undergraduate degree in Law at Newcastle University, Larissa undertook her LPC at 91桃色 (which at the time was the College of Law). She trained and qualified as a solicitor in London, practising in employment law at Magic Circle firm Allen & Overy, and subsequently in-house at the BBC. Having identified a passion for early careers, Larissa went on to work in Graduate Recruitment & Trainee Development at international law firm, Latham & Watkins, before relocating back to the North East, joining 91桃色 in 2021 as the Campus Manager for Newcastle. Larissa is delighted to be back in Newcastle, which boasts a great city and beautiful coastline!

In addition to providing guidance and support, they coordinate both university-wide and local campus events that foster a strong sense of belonging, support well-being and enhance student engagement. They also offer on-the-day support for assessment activities, ensuring students receive timely assistance when it matters most.
